My Vision

I dream of a world where everyone experiences love and freedom and has the capacity and ecosystem to pursue their biggest dreams.

About Me

I’m Stephanie Lowe―a passionate people developer and culture builder, working to spark personal and collective change from the inside out. My career in equity-centered leadership started as an undergraduate at Duke University, where I co-led a coalition of students and faculty to bring Asian American Studies to campus.

I have centered equitable access and opportunity in all I do ever since.

I am a skilled coach, an experienced executive and team leader, and a developer of community-centered learning programs. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the education and nonprofit sectors. Over my career, primarily as a leadership development expert and thought leader at the national education nonprofit Teach For America, I have tackled complex challenges with the lenses of systems thinking, individual and collective learning and growth, change management, and interpersonal dynamics and power. I’ve helped large organizations cross new thresholds and write new chapters including stewarding new strategies, programmatic innovations, and rebuilding cohesive thriving teams after restructures.

I have facilitated leadership development with a range of audiences including executive leaders and leadership teams in the public and social impact sectors, hundreds of direct service program staff and managers, and 1000+ teachers and student leaders.

Across all my work and a diversity of communities, I am known to leave people feeling seen, valued, and empowered even through periods of intense organizational change.

I am currently the Chief Coach & Consultant of Power Within Coaching & Consulting, driven by my passion for crafting experiences and conditions for people, teams, and communities to know themselves and one another more deeply, cultivate their courage and creativity, and tap into their full potential to take on their biggest pursuits.

I am a certified professional coach, a faculty member of multiple national leadership development programs, and a qualified administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory.  I live in Chicago, Illinois with my husband and two young children. In my free time I enjoy crafting, board games, and exploring and connecting with neighbors from all corners of the city.

“Having an experienced, empathetic, and truly dedicated coach in Stephanie is something I have appreciated... Honing in on my intrinsic values as a person and tapping into that “power within” has enabled me to think more creatively and resist limiting perspectives I initially had about possibilities in my career trajectory. I’ve expanded my thinking here and have a brighter, more optimistic outlook on the career path ahead.”
